With experience in boreal, prairie and mountain ecosystems Avens Consulting provides services in all aspects of vegetation ecology including rare plant surveys, vegetation inventory, reclamation plans and weed surveys. Avens is committed to reclamation using native plants using locally sourced plant material where possible. Environmental Impact Assessment
Avens Consulting has many years experience in conducting environmental impact assessments of small to large multi-year projects. In particular Avens has authored many CEAA screening reports on federal lands and has led large multi-disciplinary teams and provided project management for complex environmental assessments. In addition Avens has conducted field studies and completed the vegetation section of many impact assessments working as a part of a team of biologists and ecologists with other environmental consulting firms.

Environmental Monitoring
Avens Consulting provides environmental surveillance for large construction projects on sensitive lands and protected areas. Avens also has expertise in monitoring for effective maintenance of erosion and sediment control (ESC) systems on construction projects and the use of vegetation as “green infrastructure” to further enhance the effectiveness of ESC systems.
